Finding the perfect lunch at Disney Springs can be overwhelming with so many options. That’s why I love putting these roundups together. We try a LOT of food at Disney, and if it makes it to the blog, it genuinely impressed us and is something we would go out of our way to eat again. On our last trip, our goal was to find the best dining at Disney Springs – for lunch!

These are the best according to us, a couple of Disney adults who have been visiting the parks for nearly 40 years. We have watched the Disney food scene change and improve drastically over the decades. When Orlando locals are going out of their way to dine at Disney Springs, bypassing thousands of other local restaurants, that tells you something.

We know how precious your vacation time and budget are, so we are keeping this list to the absolute best places to eat at Disney Springs. And if you’re doing Disney on a budget, some of these are a fantastic value, like the giant slice of Roman pizza below!

One reason we love staying at The Drury Plaza Hotel is how close it is to Disney Springs, a 14-minute walk, to be exact. We often start or end our day strolling around a quiet Disney Springs in the morning with a Joeffrey’s coffee or hanging out at The Polite Pig, sipping a sweet tea Old Fashioned or watching the amphicars launch while having drinks at Dockside Bar. Just relaxing and soaking up all the Disney vibes.

The food options at Disney Springs keep getting better, including some amazing happy hour deals that I recently shared on the blog. From upscale dining at places like Jaleo and Wine Bar George to down-home Southern cooking at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, there’s something for everyone. When we’re having a hotel day and hanging out at the pool, it’s a quick, easy walk to grab a lunch or dinner!

As I mentioned, a dish has to meet a few specific criteria to make the cut.

• First, it has to truly impress us. Food is a huge part of our vacations, so we look for something unique and standout. For example, there is no shortage of French fries here, but fries topped with crispy salami and Italian cheese sauce? Say less.
• Next up is value. We always do Disney on a budget and usually come in way under our goal. Being frugal is my thing, which leads to our next rule: is it big enough to share? Sharing meals saves money, prevents waste, and allows us to try more Disney food!
• Lastly, would we go out of our way to get it again? We’ve tried countless meals that we genuinely enjoyed but completely forgot about later. On the other hand, some meals we’ve had many times already remain must-haves on every trip.

We’re starting strong with our favorite spot from our last trip: Wine Bar George. Every time we come for dinner, we order the skirt steak with chimichurri. In my opinion, this is the best steak on Disney property. The dinner portion is served family-style and meant to be shared by four to six people. It’s also expensive, so I audibly squealed when I saw it on the lunch menu.

It’s their spin on classic steak frites, served over hot, crispy fries with caramelized onion aïoli on the side. It doesn’t typically come with chimichurri. I ask for it, and it ends up being exactly the same meal we get at dinner. Swapping the aïoli has never been a problem for us with the bartenders, but of course, I can’t guarantee it. The meatballs and polenta have a cult following for a reason. They’re delightful and everything you want in a proper meatball: tender and flavorful. The sauce is fantastic without being too acidic or sweet. I’m usually not a fan of polenta, but it just works here. It’s creamy, cheesy, and savory, and balances the hearty meatballs and tomato sauce perfectly.

This is served as an appetizer, but I think it’s a perfect size for lunch, especially since we typically visit Disney World in December or January when the weather is cooler. Polenta is stick-to-your-ribs comfort food and very filling!

The first time we had this burger, it immediately became one of our favorites. I’ve had a lot of good burgers at Disney World, but the problem is consistency. We have it once, it’s amazing, and then we try it a second or third time, and it’s not. This was our experience with the Steakhouse 71 burger, Wailuli Bar and Grill, and several other burgers on property. The burger at Wine Bar George is consistently good.

The bun is soft and tender without being dry, and the beef itself is well seasoned and flavorful. They keep the toppings simple: two beef patties, cheese, burger sauce, and pickles. The first thing you notice is the quality of every ingredient. It tastes savory and beefy, yet still fresh. It’s a well-done, perfectly balanced burger every time. It’s $18 and served with a generous amount of housemade chips.

Pepito de Ternera: Spanish panini on a crispy crystal bread! Shaved ribeye steak, caramelized onion, cheese, roasted green peppers, and mayo-mustard sauce.

Pepe by José Andrés is the smaller sister restaurant to Jaleo, which is right next door. This little sandwich shop is highly underrated. They actually took this sandwich off the menu for a while, and I was devastated, but it’s back, and you better believe it’s going to be one of the first things I get for lunch at Disney Springs on our next trip!

The steak sandwich starts with their crystal bread, which is Pan de cristal (Spanish glass bread ): light and airy inside with a crispy crust. The steak is tender and flavorful, and the roasted green peppers mixed with the mayonnaise-and-mustard sauce is a combination I never knew I needed. For a solid slice of pizza, head straight to Pizza Ponte. They have two versions: The Big Roman, a classic Roman-style pizza with a thinner crust, and a Sicilian-style pizza with a thicker, spongy crust. Let’s start with the Big Roman.

At just $8, the slices are massive. So large that they need two plates to serve just one slice! Topped with classic tomato sauce and cheese, this is what you get when you’re craving a simple, solid slice of pizza. If you are doing Disney on a budget, one slice is more than enough for an adult, or you can split it between two kids. It baffles me that anyone would choose the pricier, less impressive Blaze Pizza over Pizza Ponte. This spot is a total hidden gem that most people overlook!

Next up is the Sicilian-style pizza. This is a thicker slice with a light, airy crust. Because of that extra bread, it is even more filling than the Roman style. I almost always order the Ortolana because I absolutely love the roasted veggies. Prices vary by topping, but none are more than $8.95. They also have great salads here. In fact, you shouldn’t miss the grab-and-go section. As someone who loves a simple Caesar salad, I have ordered this one time and time again. It’s $10 and huge!

We can’t talk about lunch at Disney Springs without talking about Earl of Sandwich, the OG. Located in the Marketplace section of Disney Springs, it’s the chain’s original flagship location. The menu offers a variety of hot toasted sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, and bakery treats.

All of the sandwiches start with their famous bread, which is light and fluffy inside but toasted to a perfect, delicate crisp. The Holiday sandwich features sliced turkey, cornbread stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, and mayo. Every element is perfectly balanced, making it taste exactly like the ultimate Thanksgiving leftover sandwich! It’s. SO. Good!

No trip to Disney World is complete for us without hanging out at the Dockside Bar behind The Boathouse. It’s the ultimate vibe! You can sip incredible cocktails, relax for an hour or two, and take in the sights of Disney Springs while watching the vintage Amphicars launch into the water. Our go-to lunch here is sharing the truffle Parmesan fries and the chopped salad, which easily made my roundup of the best salads at Walt Disney World.

One of our favorite spots to hang out is the Hole in the Wall bar right next to Raglan Road. My husband loves a good Guinness, and we’ll relax here for a while and share an order of the Famous Fish ‘n’ Chips and onion rings from Cookes of Dublin. Hole in the Wall bar actually operates off the Raglan Road menu, so you will have to walk over to the Cookes of Dublin for this entree, but it’s literally right next door.

I don’t love barbecue, so The Polite Pig was just never a restaurant that I gravitated to, but once I tried it, I realized I had been missing out. Now we love it so much, and I wrote an entire review about it, which you can read here. The menu is huge, and there’s something for everyone.

The Chipotle Cobb salad is my favorite salad on Disney property. It’s everything that I personally want in a salad. It’s light and fresh, but still hearty, savory, and satisfying. And yes, you’re seeing that right. It is literally served in a 3-quart stainless steel bowl. It’s giant. There’s a lot going on in this salad, and it all works, but the bacon lardons are what make it. They’re chewy and smoky and add fantastic texture! We share this and still can’t finish it. This is the best hot pretzel at Walt Disney World, and no one can change my mind. It is massive and filling – an amazing value at just $10. While theme park beer cheese isn’t unique, something about this particular beer cheese fondue and IPA mustard combo hits different. It’s packed with flavor without being heavy. I kept saying to my husband, “I know it’s melted cheese, but somehow it still tastes light.” It never seizes up or gets too thick. I couldn’t stop going back for more.

The pulled pork tray comes with signature Polite Slaw, jalapeño cornbread, and your choice of one side. With over 15 choices, Polite Pig is known for its sides. There is something for everyone, from French fries to unique choices like roasted beet salad and BBQ cauliflower. My husband LOVES the potato salad, and I agree. It’s served in a light and creamy herb dressing with pickles, eggs, and celery. It’s creamy without being heavy, flavorful, and delicious!
